Kids of Sudharshan shakha (Sterling, VA) collected an impressive 900 lbs(more than 350 items) of canned and packaged foods to restock the shelves at the local Loudoun County Food Bank. The project was organized to bring seva awareness and to give kids the opportunity to learn about people who don't have the same luxuries as they do. The food drive started on February 7th and ended on March 7th 2008.
Organizers of the event said that the kids not only had fun but they also learnt a valuable lesson in serving their community. From the beginning, every kid and their parents enthusiastically participated in this project and contributed to its complete success.
