Re: Condolence Message.
Sat Sri Akal!
On behalf of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA, I am writing to express our profound shock and sadness at the tragic events at the Oak Creek gurudwara on August 5 and to convey our condolences.
We offer our deepest sympathies to our Sikh sisters and brothers in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. With our common heritage and history, American Sikhs and Hindus share a unique bond unlike any other two religious communities. We pray that the souls of the deceased find peace.
We commend the bravery of the members of the congregation. I was particularly moved by heroism of Sri Satwant Singh Kaleka, who sacrificed his life in an effort to save others. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and the families of all the victims.
I have asked the director of our Milwaukee branch, Shriram Kelkar, to deliver this letter to you personally. Please feel free to ask him for any assistance whatsoever – we hold our hands out to our sisters and brothers in their time of need.
