HSS condemns the murder of Hindu Leader in Nepal

The Hindu Swayemsevak Sangh (HSS) condemns the heinous act of murder of Narayan Prasad Pokharel, chairman of the World Hindu Council-Nepal in the capital city of Kathmandu, Nepal.

According to a Police report, Maoist suspects shot dead the Hindu leader on early Friday morning on May 6th while he was performing a religious function in Butwal. This murder seems to be committed by Maoist communists as a part of their ongoing atrocities against of Hindus in Nepal. We express a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the tragic loss of innocent lives and extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of the victims.

This outrageous attack underscores the urgent need for concerted global attention to ongoing Maoist communist operations in Nepal resulting into a declaration of emergency in the country. We urge the government of Nepal to take prompt and effective action to bring the perpetrators to justice. We call upon the United Nations to adopt a comprehensive global convention against terrorism and stress the need for all governments around the world to cooperate in eradicating this menace to humanity.
