On August 2nd, HSS Volunteers from Naperville-Aurora shakha visited and tied the Rakhi to Hon. Mayor of the City of Naperville and his staff. The Mayor of Naperville said in his official comment: “I am pleased to see HSS taking steps in creating an awareness about India’s great traditions, Rakhi’s event is a very important one and has a great significance especially during the troubled times, I truly believe that such events bring about a change in the society and help create a peaceful society. Raksha Bandhan creates the sense of universal oneness and can help build a cohesive society of tolerance and peace. I thank HSS in taking lead in that direction. Thanks for arranging this function. I look forward to participating and supporting such noble events.” … Similar events were undertaken by HSS volunteers at Fire Stations and Police Stations. Photo Gallery
