HSS strives to facilitate Dharma practice in all aspects of life. By helping organize Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, we intend to engage, learn, cherish and preserve for future generations the ever present Dharma. Kids also see increases in creativity and engagement twith the whole family. These day there are only very few places where one can see grand parents, parents and kids together for a celebration.
Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the few occasions where we have seen 3+ generations of families come together and make Ganesh Murti and completely enjoy their creation. Many families shared their Ganesha to friends at home and online. Many expressed and/or sent their picture at home when they did “Pooja”. They were “in the movement” fully mindful of their devotion to the remover of obstacles.
Over five years we have seen an increase from 80 families to over 250 families which practiced Ganesh Utsav, learned or practiced their skills and thanked HSS volunteers for their selfless service in organizing this event.
Below, is the link to Utsav video with pictures and testimony of French student who made her own Ganesha and expressed her thanks to HSS.
